After Time Magazine made her a cover story, “Sexual Politics” became not only the cornerstone of the ensuing Second Wave of Feminism but also a trigger for the founding of National Organization for Women and its successful demand for legalized abortion. Kate also traveled America founding Gender and Women’s Studies Departments in, virtually, every college and University. Kate also founded “The Mental Patients Project”, wherein she maintained that psychiatric wards were unconstitutional. In the late 70’s Kate teamed up with her idols Simone de Bouvier and Jean-Paul Sartre to depose the Shah and foment revolution in Iran.
